Job summary

Fourteckh Enviro India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Mechanical Draftsman to prepare detailed fabrication and assembly drawings, BOMs, and layouts for mechanical systems and components.

The role requires strong CAD skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with industrial equipment. Applicants should have 4-6 years of experience in heavy engineering or process equipment, with AutoCAD 2D as a must and 3D CAD experience a plus.

Qualifications

• ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Drafting Technology.
• 4–6 years in mechanical drafting for heavy engineering or process equipment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D essential); 3D is a plus with Solid Works or Creo or Inventor.
• Familiarity with fabricated and machined components, fabrication and assembly techniques, and weld symbols, piping.
• Knowledge of basic mechanical standards (IS, ANSI, etc.).
• Candidates should be ready to visit site occasionally when required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 3D/2D fabrication, layout, and assembly drawings for bag filters, screw conveyors, bucket elevators, belt conveyors, rotary air lock valves.
• Generate accurate BOMs for manufacturing and procurement.
• Modify and revise existing drawings based on engineering changes or feedback.
• Assist design engineers in converting concepts and calculations into working drawings.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards and customer specifications.
• Maintain a proper drawing numbering and filing system for design documentation.
• Coordinate with production/shop floor/site team to resolve drawing-related issues.
• Update drawings for as-built documentation after completion of projects.

Job Summary

The Mechanical Draftsman will be responsible for preparing detailed fabrication and assembly drawings, bill of materials (BOMs), and layout drawings for mechanical systems and components. The role requires strong CAD skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare 3D / 2D fabrication, layout, and assembly drawings for:
  • Bag filters, Screw conveyors, Bucket elevators, Belt conveyors, Rotary Air Lock valves
  • Cyclone separators, Valves (Rotary, Double Flap, Shut-off, etc.), Dampers, Gates, Pneumatic systems, Piping drawings
• Generate accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) for manufacturing and procurement.
• Modify and revise existing drawings based on engineering changes or feedback.
• Assist design engineers in converting concepts and calculations into working drawings.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards and customer specifications.
• Maintain a proper drawing numbering and filing system for design documentation.
• Coordinate with production/shop floor / site team to resolve drawing-related issues.
• Update drawings for as-built documentation after completion of projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Education: ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Drafting Technology
• Experience: 4-6 years in mechanical drafting for heavy engineering or process equipment
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D essential); 3D is a plus with Solid works or Creo or Inventor.
  • Familiarity with fabricated and machined components, fabrication and assembly techniques, and weld symbols, piping.
  • Knowledge of basic mechanical standards (IS, ANSI, etc.)
  • Candidates should be ready to visit site occasionally when required.
• Soft Skills:
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and under guidance
  • Good communication and coordination skills

Preferred Background

Experience in drafting for equipment used in Steel Plants, Mining, Cement Plants, Power Plants, Bulk Material Handling Systems, or Air Pollution Control Systems will be advantageous.
