Position: Mechanical Draftsman (2D Drafting)

Location: Vadodara, Gujarat

Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering; Certificate as Mechanical Draftsman (Preferred)

Experience: 0 to 5 years (Freshers can apply)

Responsibilities

You are responsible for creating detailed mechanical drawings, blueprints, and layouts based on the specifications provided by engineers and designers. You will produce accurate and detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings for mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software. You must combine technical skills, creativity, and collaboration to support the engineering team and contribute to successful project outcomes.

Technical Skills and Duties

• Develop 2D drawings of design specifications for mechanical equipment and components to assist in planning and production
• Use CAD programs (Solid EDGE, Solid Works, Creo) to combine schematics and design data into accurate 3D models
• Analyze design documents and plans to verify dimensions and materials and coordinate with engineers to resolve any errors
• Assist engineers during initial planning by creating on-the-fly design sketches and models for analysis and modification
• Collaborate with engineers, production technicians, and clients to identify design problems and develop effective solutions
• Maintain accuracy, organization, and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Position instructions and comments onto drawings
• Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or reduce production problems
• Conduct part inspection in accordance with dimensions, aesthetics, finishing, and functional requirements
• Ensure all IQC processes are completed as required
• Manage drawing system integrity in the product data management system
• Complete drawing project groups by documenting and organizing
• Create manufacturing drawings from 3D SolidWorks models
• Manage drawing files and maintain drawing and quality standards
