Motherson Technology Services Limited is seeking a Design Engineer in Bengaluru with 3–6 years of SolidWorks-based mechanical design experience, preferably in the Aerospace / Aircraft domain. The role focuses on creating robust 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings, with emphasis on GD&T and manufacturability.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and inspection teams to validate designs, support prototyping and fabrication, and maintain technical documentation and BOMs.

Qualifikationen

• 3–6 years of SolidWorks-based mechanical design experience, preferably in Aerospace / Aircraft domain.
• Strong hands-on skills in SolidWorks, 2D/3D modeling, engineering drawings, and GD&T.
• Experience in sheet metal and other mechanical component design with manufacturability in mind.

Aufgaben

• Design and develop aerospace components and mechanical parts using SolidWorks.
• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, 2D drawings, and manufacturing drawings.
• Develop and modify designs based on engineering and manufacturing requirements.
• Apply GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and engineering drawing standards.
• Design and develop sheet metal and other mechanical components as required.
• Ensure designs meet accuracy, functionality, manufacturability, and assembly.
• Work with manufacturing, production, quality, and inspection teams for validation.
• Support prototype development, design modifications, fabrication, assembly, and try-out activities.
• Prepare BOMs, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
• Support design changes, engineering change requests, and revision control.
• Perform design optimization and DFA/DFM to improve manufacturability.
• Troubleshoot design/manufacturing issues and implement improvements.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Design Engineer with 3-6 years of experience in Solidworks-based mechanical design, preferably with experience in the Aerospace / Aircraft / Aerospace Manufacturing domain.The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Solidworks, 2D/3D modeling, engineering drawings, GD&T, sheet metal and aerospace component design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop aerospace components and mechanical parts using Solidworks.
• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, 2D drawings, and manufacturing drawings.

• Apply GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and engineering drawing standards.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in Solidworks.
• Experience in Aerospace / Aircraft / Aerospace Manufacturing domain.
• Strong experience in 3D modeling, assembly design, and 2D detailing.
• Good knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of Tolerance Stack-up.
• Experience in sheet metal / mechanical component design is preferred.
• Good understanding of DFM/DFA and manufacturability.
• Knowledge of machining, fabrication, drilling, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to understand component/assembly requirements and develop suitable design solutions.
• Good communication and coordination skills with manufacturing and cross-functional teams.
