Job summary

B J Mehta Architectural Structural Rivate Limit Ed is seeking a creative interior design professional to develop concepts, color palettes, and material schemes tailored to client briefs. You will produce 2D plans, elevations, and 3D renderings using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit, while engaging with clients to refine visions.

The role requires collaboration with architects and engineers, managing budgets, coordinating vendors, and ensuring compliance with codes and accessibility standards.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualization & Styling: Formulate design concepts, color palettes, material schemes, and digital mood boards tailored to client briefs.
• Space Planning & Drafting: Produce accurate 2D space plans, elevations, details, and 3D renderings using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit).
• Client & Project Management: Conduct consultations to assess needs, present design pitches, manage project budgets, and maintain timelines.
• Sourcing & Procurement: Select and spec furniture, fixtures, and finishes (FF&E). Build and manage relationships with vendors, craftsmen, and showrooms.
• Collaboration & Supervision: Partner with architects and structural engineers. Provide clear guidance to on-site contractors (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) to ensure proper execution.
• Compliance: Ensure all layouts strictly adhere to building codes, fire regulations, and accessibility guidelines.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
• Soft Skills: Exceptional presentation, active listening, problem-solving, and negotiation capabilities.
• Certifications (Preferred): NCIDQ certification or registration with a national design board is a plus.
