Job summary

Sellapandi Silambarasan is seeking an HVAC Design Engineer in Chennai to develop layouts and drawings for HVAC systems in commercial interiors.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of hands-on experience in HVAC design, be proficient in AutoCAD, and capable of performing heat and cooling load calculations, duct sizing and selecting components such as AHUs and FCUs. The role involves coordinating with MEP and site teams to ensure project compliance and quality.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years experience in HVAC design or commercial interior projects.
• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare HVAC layouts and AutoCAD drawings.
• Perform heat load and cooling load calculations.
• Design heating, ventilation, fresh air, and exhaust systems.
• Prepare HVAC BOQ, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates.
• Knowledge of duct sizing, air distribution, AHUs, FCUs, and VRF/VRV systems.
• Coordinate with MEP, interior design, and site execution teams.
• Ensure design quality and compliance with project specifications.
