Job summary

FirstView Consultants India Pvt. Ltd. is hiring an Embedded QA Engineer (3-4 years) to join our Bengaluru center.

The role focuses on verification and validation of embedded Linux and FPGA-based devices, with hands-on experience in bootloaders (U-Boot), Yocto builds, and flashing tools, ensuring OTA updates and cloud connectivity. You will develop test cases, perform defect tracking, and ensure compliance with medical/device industry IEC 62304 and related standards.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, instrumentation or CS.
• 34 years in embedded QA / V&V preferred (misread as 3-4 years in ad).
• Strong knowledge of embedded Linux, flashing tools, Jira/Redmine.

Responsibilities

• Verify & validate embedded Linux devices and FPGA-based systems.
• Develop test cases and execute validation activities.
• Collaborate with US customer teams and support OTA updates and cloud connectivity.

Our Bangalore center works on real, fielded products - including regulated medical devices developed under formal design controls (IEC 62304, FDA 21 CFR 820). This gives you exposure to the complete product development lifecycle from bringup through verification and release.

We are hiring Embedded QA Engineers with 34 years of experience to join our team.

Role Highlights

• Verification & Validation of embedded Linux and FPGAbased devices
• Handson with bootloaders (UBoot), kernel, Yocto builds, flashing tools (UUU, Quartus Prime Pro), ensuring support for OTA updates and cloud connectivity
• Test case development, execution, defect tracking, and compliance with IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, FDA 21 CFR Part 820
• Networking and interface validation (Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB)
• Automation using Python, Bash, and shell scripting
• Direct collaboration with U.S. customer teams

Candidate Profile

• B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical,instrumentation or Computer Science
• 34 years in embedded QA / V&V (medical, aerospace, industrial preferred)
• Strong knowledge of embedded Linux, flashing tools, defect management (Jira/Redmine)
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction
