Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical electrical qualification preferred.
• 2+ years of electrical maintenance experience.

• Familiarity with safety procedures and lockout/tagout.

Responsibilities

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment. This role involves routine inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical components to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in circuits, controls, motors, and panels.
• Install and maintain wiring, lighting systems, and electrical control systems. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Monitor and test system performance; make adjustments as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with national and local electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
• Assist in equipment upgrades and electrical installations as required.
• Collaborate with other maintenance and engineering staff to optimize production processes.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and complete repairs promptly.

Required Qualification:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in Electrical or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in electrical maintenance (typically 2+ years).
• Knowledge of electrical systems, including motors, PLCs, VFDs, and control systems.
• Familiarity with tools and testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Understanding of safety procedures and lockout/tagout protocols.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Physical Requirement:

• Ability to work in industrial environments (e.g., noise, dust, heat).
• Stand, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work at heights or in confined spaces, if required.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or shifts, including being on-call.
