Job summary

LV Prasad Eye Institute invites a dedicated professional to lead and oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of designated students' IEPs within our pediatric therapy programs.

The role involves collaborating with parents, classroom teachers, speech, occupational and physical therapists, orientation and mobility and vision specialists to create functional, meaningful education plans and to involve families in treatment, training, and community forums.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• To be responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of the designated students IEPs.
• To work with members of the IEP team (i.e. parents, classroom teachers, speech providers, occupational & physical therapists, orientation & mobility and vision specialists) to provide a functional and meaningful program
• To suggest stimulation exercises to parents to continue activities at home
• To suggest making low cost and indigenous training materials useful for the therapy
• To take classes and provide training to other health care professionals as required
• To involve parents and family in the treatment, review and rehabilitation of patients
• To conduct parental workshops and forums
• To develop educational materials on special education
• To involve in monitoring special educational services in LVPEI’s network
