Job summary

Unimech Aerospace is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to run turning lathe and larger swing diameter machines, producing aerospace components from engineering drawings. Candidates should hold ITI/ Diploma/ GTTC/ NTTF or BE, with hands-on experience, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining production records and safe 5S practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate production records and report discrepancies

Job brief: We are looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our manufacturing industry team. As a CNC Turning Lathe Operator, you will be responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to perform precision machining operations on various materials. You will primarily work with a CNC turning lathe, producing components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Experience operating CNC VTL machines.
• Ability to work with larger swing diameter machines. (Ex; Swing Dia 1200, 1500, 2500mm.)
• A working knowledge of inspection methods and measuring instruments. Especially more robust in large size instrument handling.
• Ability of setting critical component. (Aerospace, Aerospace toolings, oil & Gas, Nuclear Projects etc.)
• Knowledge of machining processes (turning, taper turning, thread cutting, canned cycles, drilling, grooving etc.)
• Knowledge of cutting tools. (Turning insert, boring insert grooving insert, the threading insert etc.)
• Basic understanding of blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks on machines.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Basic understanding of 5S.
• Ability to maintain accurate production records, including tracking materials and reporting any issues or discrepancies.
• Troubleshooting and resolving machine malfunctions and tooling problems.
• Ability to work in all 3shifts.
