NXG Hightech is seeking a CAM Programmer with hands-on NX CAM 3-axis experience for our client, a manufacturing company in Howrah. The role focuses on creating and optimizing CNC/VMC programs and supporting shop-floor activities using Solid Edge CAM Pro.

You will generate NC code, simulate toolpaths, and ensure parts meet drawings and finish specs while collaborating with production teams.

Formación

• 2 to 5 years of experience in NX CAM 3 axis programming.
• Able to adapt quickly to Solid Edge CAM Pro, the software used on the job.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D models.

Responsabilidades

• Create CNC programs and generate toolpaths for 3 axis VMC machining.
• Optimize toolpaths to reduce machining time and improve cutting efficiency.
• Select suitable cutting tools, holders, speeds, feeds and machining parameters.
• Run toolpath simulation to check for tool, holder, fixture and machine collisions.
• Generate machine-specific NC code and verify post-processor output before machining.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per engineering drawings.
• Support machine operators, troubleshoot issues and modify programs when required.
• Improve cycle time and productivity through better tool selection and machining strategies.
• Maintain NC programs, setup sheets, tool lists and program revision records.
• Complete programs on time as per production schedules.
• Follow machining safety procedures and company standards.

Job Title: CAM Programmer NX CAM (3 Axis)

About the Role

NXG Hightech is hiring for one of our clients, a manufacturing company in Howrah. We are looking for a CAM Programmer with hands‑on NX CAM 3 axis experience to create and optimize CNC/VMC programs. The role involves working on Solid Edge CAM Pro (by Siemens) and supporting the production team on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Create CNC programs and generate toolpaths for 3 axis VMC machining


• Optimize toolpaths to reduce machining time and improve cutting efficiency


• Select suitable cutting tools, holders, speeds, feeds and machining parameters


• Run toolpath simulation to check for tool, holder, fixture and machine collisions


• Generate machine‑specific NC code and verify post‑processor output before machining


• Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per engineering drawings


• Support machine operators, troubleshoot issues and modify programs when required

Desired Candidate Profile

• Candidates from Kolkata or Howrah preferred
