Job summary

Omatlas Impex And Agency in Mumbai is seeking an experienced accountant to maintain books, manage AP/AR, issue invoices, perform reconciliations, and file GST/TDS returns. You will support audits and budgeting while ensuring statutory compliance.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in Tally ERP and MS Excel, with strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and Indian accounting standards, and good communication in English/Hindi.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel (Advanced Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and GST portal.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and Indian accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills (English/Hindi).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update books of accounts using Tally software.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR): Vendor payments, invoicing, bill processing, e-commerce receipt reconciliations.
• Preparation of Sales invoices, debit/ credit notes to retailers, vendors, etc.
• Perform bank reconciliations, cash book management, and petty cash handling.
• Prepare and file GST returns, TDS returns, and assist in Income Tax computations.
• Finalize balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and trial balances (monthly/quarterly/yearly).
• Assist in statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits.
• Generate MIS reports, financial statements, and support budgeting/forecasting.
• Manage payroll processing
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements.
