Tata AutoComp Systems Limited invites a 3D CAD Engineer to design HV and LV wiring harnesses. The role requires 3–6 years in automotive wiring harnesses, LV/HV design, and UGNX routing/packaging, with strong knowledge of vehicle packaging, architecture, and standards.

The candidate will manage cradle-to-grave parts, ensure model consistency, validate changes, and support launches, DFMEA, and packaging reviews. OEM-style design release and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of automotive wiring harness experience.
• LV/HV wiring harness design experience.
• Routing and packaging in UGNX.
• Strong knowledge of design basics, vehicle packaging, architecture, and standards.
• Cross-functional design experience.

Responsabilités

• Parts cradle-to-grave deliverables.
• Ensure parts/drawings match the models (Model is Master).
• ECN/ECR/FETE written to meet requirements.
• Validate changes are necessary for the vehicle.
• Conduct FPSO and support PSO with SQ.
• GIMS/ISS ownership; root cause and corrective action.
• Support launch at the assembly plant.
• Review AMPS sheets for assembly plants.
• DFMEA/DVP review; ensure CC/FO/Design Rule activity.
• Review supplier DFMEA/DVP.
• Engage in packaging meetings (ACE).
• Responsible for PDP and related Vehicle Functions requirements.
• Manage 2D drawings; 3D to 2D comparison.
• Support complexity chart (EEHD).
• Engage in scroll reviews; prepare compliance reports.
• Support owners manual images; issue source packages.
• Standardize and harmonize components/documents.
• Process DTCRs for their component.
• Resolve CN sweeps issues.

3D CAD Engineer - HV and LV Harness:

Qualification, Experience and Competency requirements:

• Preferred Education - B.E./B.Tech Electrical/Automotive/Mechanical Engineering with Automotive Industry experience

Preferred Experience:

Essential:

• 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in automotive wiring harness
• Experience in Design of Wiring Harness LV & HV
• Hands on Experience in Routing & Packaging in UGNX
• Good knowledge in design basics, vehicle packaging studies, Architecture, and statutory requirements etc.,
• Cross functional experience in Design

Roles & Responsibilities (Not limited to)

• Responsible for the parts from cradle to grave deliverables.
• Responsible to ensure parts / drawings match the models (Model is Master)
• Responsible to ensure ECN/ECR/FETE are clearly written and meet all requirements
• Confirm / understand / validate the change is necessary for the vehicle
• Conduct FPSO (first piece sign off) and support PSO activity with SQ
• Responsible for GIMS /ISS ownership / root cause / corrective action.
• Support launch activity at the assembly plant
• Review of AMPS sheets required for assembly plants
• Support vehicle/component DFMEA / DVP (ensure CC) / FO / Design Rule activity
• Review and validate the supplier DFMEA and DVP
• Active engagement in packaging meetings (ACE)
• Responsible for PDP
• Identify and confirm related Vehicle Functions (VF) requirements are met
• Manage 2D drawings, 3D to 2D comparison
• Support complexity chart (EEHD)
• Active engagement in scroll reviews
• Compliance reports
• Support owners manual images
• Issue source packages
• Support standardization and harmonization of components and documents
• Responsible to process any required DTCRs for their component

• Knowledge in any of the HV Harness Global Standards (ISO/SAE/ECE) must
• Experience in OEM in design, development, testing, validation, and release of HV Cables in specific Product Lifecycle Management is must
• EMI/EMC standards specific to HV Cables is needed
