Job summary

E4 Software Services Pvt Ltd. seeks a data-focused QA engineer with strong database testing and test automation capabilities. You will validate data quality, implement repeatable tests, and work with SQL, Python, and Java in a CI/CD environment.

Experience with frameworks like pytest, JUnit, or TestNG, and with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MySQL is required. Familiarity with Snowflake or Databricks is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, CS, IT or related discipline, with relevant DB testing and test automation experience.
• Strong SQL skills: joins, subqueries, aggregates, CTEs, window functions.
• Hands-on Python programming to develop and debug automated DB tests.
• Java or equivalent language is a plus.
• Experience with at least one automation framework (pytest, JUnit, or TestNG) incl. parameterized tests, setup/teardown, reporting.
• Experience with at least one RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and DB connectivity.
• Cloud data platforms experience (Snowflake or Databricks) is advantageous.
• Solid understanding of DB schemas, keys, constraints, relationships, transactions, and stored logic.
• Data quality validation, business rules, source-to-target mapping, field-level reconciliation, precision checks.
• Ability to design repeatable, independent tests using controlled datasets and clear expectations.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Secure test config: managing DB credentials outside code and using masked/synthetic data.
• Strong SDLC, STLC, Agile, and defect tracking with Jira/Azure DevOps or similar.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills with developers and data engineers.
• Experience with ETL automation, data warehouse testing, data migration validation, or cloud data platforms.
• Knowledge of finance, investments, portfolio management, OCIO apps, trading, cash management, compliance, or capital markets.
• Exposure to API automation for end-to-end data workflows, or DB performance testing and query analysis.

Job description

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, computer science, IT, or a related discipline, with relevant experience in Database testing and Test automation.

Strong SQL skills, including joins, subqueries, aggregate functions, common table expressions, and window functions.

Hands-on programming experience in Python is a must-have skill, with the ability to develop and debug automated database tests.

Hands-on experience in Java, or an equivalent language is an added advantage

Experience with at least one automation framework, such as pytest, JUnit, or TestNG, including parameterized tests, setup, cleanup, and reporting.

Practical experience with at least one relational database, such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, and database connectivity using suitable drivers.

Experience in database automation testing on cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks is an added advantage

Strong understanding of database schemas, keys, constraints, relationships, transactions, and stored database logic.

Experience validating data quality, business rules, and source-to-target mappings, including field-level reconciliation and numerical precision.

Ability to design repeatable, independent tests using controlled datasets and clear expected results

Experience using Git and integrating automated tests with a CI/CD tool such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.

Understanding of secure test configuration, including managing database credentials outside source code and using masked or synthetic test data.

Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile delivery, and defect tracking using Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and clear communication with developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders.

Experience with ETL automation, data warehouse testing, data migration validation, or cloud data platforms.
