Job summary

Purview Services in Chandigarh, India, seeks an experienced VMware vROps Administrator to manage and optimize vROps environments. You will monitor health, performance and capacity across VMware infrastructure and design dashboards, alerts and integrations to meet business needs.

The role requires 6-11 years of hands-on experience with vROps/Aria Operations, vSphere components, and strong troubleshooting plus stakeholder communication skills.

Qualifications

• 6-11 years of experience in VMware/vROps administration and infrastructure monitoring.
• Strong hands-on experience with VMware vROps / VMware Aria Operations.
• Knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, clusters, HA, DRS, and vMotion.
• Experience in performance monitoring, capacity management, alerting, and dashboard creation.
• Knowledge of VMware Aria Operations policies, symptoms, metrics, and alerts.
• Understanding of server, storage, network, and virtualization concepts.
• Experience with PowerShell, PowerCLI, or scripting is an advantage.
• Knowledge of VMware Aria Suite/Log Insight is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage VMware vROps environments.
• Monitor the health, performance, availability and capacity of VMware infrastructure.
• Configure dashboards, alerts, policies, symptoms, and notifications in vROps.
• Analyze performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and issues.
• Perform capacity planning, forecasting and resource utilization analysis.
• Monitor vSphere components including ESXi hosts, vCenter, clusters, VMs, datastores and networks.
• Troubleshoot performance, availability and capacity incidents.
• Develop customized dashboards and reports for business and operational needs.
• Configure and maintain vROps adapters and integrations with VMware and third-party infrastructure.
• Support automation and remediation workflows for recurring infrastructure issues.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain health baselines for critical infrastructure components.
• Support upgrades, patches, configurations, and migrations related to vROps.
• Collaborate with VMware, Cloud, Infra, Network, Storage and App teams.
• Prepare operational and capacity reports.
• Ensure monitoring standards and security controls are followed.
