Job summary

Purview Services is seeking an experienced VMware vROps administrator in India to manage and optimize vROps environments. You will monitor health, performance, and capacity across VMware infrastructure, configure dashboards, alerts, and policies, and perform capacity forecasting.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, scripting ability, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include incident resolution, reporting, and supporting upgrades and integrations with VMware

Qualifications

• 6-11 years of experience in VMware/vRealize Operations administration and infrastructure monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with vROps / VMware Aria Operations.
• Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, clusters, HA, DRS, and vMotion.
• Experience in performance monitoring, capacity management, alerting, and dashboards.
• Knowledge of Aria Operations policies, symptoms, metrics, and alerts.
• Understanding of server, storage, network and virtualization concepts.
• Scripting with PowerShell/PowerCLI is an advantage.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills; strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Perform capacity planning, forecasting, and resource utilization analysis.
• Monitor vSphere components including ESXi, vCenter, clusters, VMs, datastores, and networks.
• Troubleshoot performance, availability, and capacity incidents.
• Develop customized dashboards and reports for business needs.
• Configure and maintain vROps adapters and integrations with VMware/third parties.
• Support automation and remediation workflows for recurring issues.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and recommend actions.
• Maintain health baselines for critical infrastructure components.
• Support upgrades, patches, and migrations related to vROps.
• Collaborate with VMware, Cloud, Infra, Network, Storage, and App teams.
• Prepare performance and capacity reports and documentation.
• Ensure monitoring standards and security controls are followed.

• Prepare operational documentation, performance reports, and capacity reports.
• Ensure monitoring standards, security controls, and operational best practices are followed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 6-11 years of experience in VMware/vRealize Operations administration and infrastructure monitoring.
• Strong hands‑on experience with VMware vROps / VMware Aria Operations.
• Good knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, clusters, HA, DRS, and vMotion.
• Experience in performance monitoring, capacity management, alerting, and dashboard creation.
• Knowledge of VMware Aria Operations policies, symptoms, metrics, and alerts.
• Understanding of server, storage, network, and virtualization concepts.
• Experience with PowerShell, PowerCLI, or scripting is an advantage.
• Knowledge of VMware Aria Suite/Log Insight is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
