Job summary

Mizuho Pune, a key hub of Mizuho Financial Group, seeks a VP of Enterprise Architecture Strategy & Design to own target-state architecture, standards, and governance across the firm. The role leads architecture reviews, modernization initiatives, and decision support to ensure consistent, strategic technology direction.

You will guide cross‑functional teams, articulate architecture roadmaps, and mentor senior architects in cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid environments, including PaaS and container

Qualifications

• Senior enterprise/ domain architecture experience in a financial firm (14+ years).

• Strong background in target-state architecture and technology strategy.
• Experience leading architecture review boards or governance forums.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to challenge designs constructively.

Responsibilities

The VP, Enterprise Architecture Strategy & Design is responsible for maintaining the firm's enterprise architecture assets, including target-state architecture, blueprints, reference architectures, standards, patterns, and approved technology guidance. The role serves as the primary steward of architectural consistency across the enterprise and ensures architectural decisions are aligned with the firm's strategic direction.

The role exists to:

• Own and maintain enterprise architecture blueprints, standards, patterns, and reference architectures.
• Establish architectural guardrails that enable consistent solution delivery across groups.
• Lead enterprise-level design reviews and architecture quality assurance activities.
• Facilitate architectural modernization and target-state planning.
• Support ARC decision-making through architectural analysis and recommendations.

This role directly supports the EA mission to maintain standards, policies, blueprints, patterns, and enterprise-wide target-state architecture.

Qualifications

• Senior enterprise, domain, or chief architecture experience at a financial firm with at least 14+ years of experience.
• Demonstrated ownership of architecture frameworks, standards, and governance.
• Strong background in target-state architecture and technology strategy.
• Experience leading architecture review boards or governance forums.
• Strategic thinker with strong communication skills.
• Able to challenge designs constructively and consistently.
• Strong documentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience architecting cloud, on-prem, and hybrid solution, including PaaS and Container-based Workloads.
• Strong understanding of Observability and SRE.
