Job summary

Mphasis is seeking a VMware Engineer with HCX for a Hybrid role in Hyderabad/Bangalore. The Sr. Infrastructure Engineer will design, implement, and manage VMware environments, ensuring stability, performance, and security of our infrastructure.

You will monitor servers, storage, and networks; troubleshoot issues; collaborate across teams for deployments and upgrades; maintain documentation; and contribute to backup and disaster recovery. Relevant VMware and IT certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• Strong hands-on VMware experience (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi).
• Experience with virtualization, monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Job Details:

The Sr. Infrastructure Engineer will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our infrastructure systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in VMWare technologies and will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our infrastructure. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage VMWare environments to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Monitor and maintain infrastructure systems, including servers, storage, and network components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployments and infrastructure upgrades.
• Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure processes, configurations, and procedures.
• Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements to infrastructure systems.
• Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning of infrastructure resources.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with VMWare technologies, including vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
• Proficiency in managing virtualized environments and understanding of virtualization best practices.
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools and performance tuning.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of cloud technologies and hybrid cloud environments.
