Job summary

Infosys Bengaluru seeks a seasoned IT infrastructure professional to manage VMware-based environments including vCenter, Horizon View, and vCloud Director. You will design, implement, and optimize EUC-VDI and server administration tasks, while coordinating capacity planning and security improvements.

The role requires hands-on experience with automation tools like SaltStack, Ansible, and Jenkins, and the ability to work with clients to meet complex requirements.

Qualifications

• MCA/MTech or relevant engineering degrees in CS/IT are preferred.
• Experience with EUC-VDI, VMware Horizon View, and server administration.
• Familiarity with automation tools (SaltStack, Ansible, Jenkins) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Understand customers' functional and technical requirements.
• Prepare and manage OLAs for customer systems.
• Prepare architecture diagrams for customer applications.
• Explain current service offerings and onboard applications.
• Participate in capacity planning and plan capacity extensions.
• Plan component upgrades and advise on patching or migration.
• Review security vulnerability tests and coordinate counter actions.
• Interact with customers to define changes and resource needs.
• Plan and launch new servers; integrate with existing environments.
• Understand application and infrastructure roles and access needs.
• Ensure application availability and monitor OLAs.
• Handle problem resolutions and change implementations; automate processes.

Job Summary

VMware vCenter, vCops, Update Manager, View, and vCloud Director.

Responsibilities

• Understand the customers functional and technical requirements.
• Prepare and Manage Operating Level Agreements (OLA) for the customer systems.
• Preparing and maintain Architecture Diagrams for customer applications.
• Explain the current service offerings and assist customer to onboard the applications.
• Involve in capacity planning discussions and plan the capacity extensions of a system.
• Plan the component upgrades and suggest the customers on patching / migration activities.
• Review the security vulnerability tests results and prepare the counter actions on all components of infrastructure.
• Interact with customer to understand the application requirements and prepare the right level of changes and resource availability.
• Plan and launch of new servers and integrate them with existing environments and de-launch of old servers.
• Understand different roles of the application and Infrastructure and request right level of access to teams.
• Responsible for the application availability and to measures the OLAs for each system.
• Responsible for the problem resolutions and change implementations in the systems.
• Implement automations for significant reduction in manual efforts, it is essential to have hands-on experience in one of the Automation Platforms like SALTSTACK, Ansible, and Jenkins.
