Jobtailor is seeking a senior lead to guide engineering and analytics teams in Pune, delivering actionable dashboards and data-driven insights.

You will translate business needs into intuitive visualizations, mentor analysts, and collaborate with product, design, and business stakeholders to drive outcomes.

Job description

• Lead and manage engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to engineering team members
• Oversee timelines, team allocation, risk management, and task prioritization
• Evaluate and enhance engineering processes, tools, and methodologies
• Collaborate with business partners, product managers, designers, engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders
• Translate business requirements into wireframes, prototypes, design specifications, dashboards, and reports
• Lead visualisation and UX design with emphasis on usability, accessibility, consistency, and impact
• Guide junior developers during the build phase and provide quality assurance
• Facilitate and participate in the VUX Forum for design review, feedback, and approval
• Establish visualisation standards and design principles across the organisation
• Validate prototypes, secure stakeholder buy-in, and conduct reviews at delivery gates
• Contribute to guidance, templates, and resources while upskilling the analytics community
• Collaborate with data engineering and BI development teams on data models, semantic layers, and metadata structures
• Use storytelling, annotations, guided insights, and contextual framing to turn complex data into actionable narratives
• Perform heuristic evaluations of dashboards to identify simplification, optimisation, and redesign opportunities
• Manage and mitigate risks and strengthen controls
• Advise key stakeholders and senior management on functional and cross-functional areas

Requirements

• Experience translating business requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications
• Experience leading dashboard and report design focused on usability, accessibility, and impact
• Experience guiding junior developers during the build phase
• Experience facilitating or participating in visualisation design reviews and peer challenge
• Experience establishing visualisation standards and design principles
• Experience validating prototypes and securing stakeholder buy-in
• Experience creating impactful dashboards and data visualisations
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear, intuitive designs
• Strong design thinking skills focused on usability and accessibility
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Tableau experience is a plus
• Knowledge of risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, and job-specific technical skills
