Job summary

A fast-paced technology startup in India is seeking a Field Application Engineer to deploy and manage quality inspection systems using advanced machine vision technology. The ideal candidate will have experience with PLC programming, electrical panel wiring, and a strong understanding of automation systems. This job requires travel across India and offers a chance to be part of a growth-stage startup environment. Candidates with knowledge of Linux systems and 3D CAD modeling will have an advantage.

Qualifications

• Experience in Electrical Panel wiring.
• Experience in setting up test setups for end-to-end testing.
• Experience in 3D CAD modeling is good to have.

Responsibilities

• Customer visits for inspection and deployment.
• Inventory management for system dependencies.
• Working collaboratively with automation vendors for system integration.
• System commissioning and validation.
• Support and maintenance of the system as required.
• Travel around 5–6 times a month across pan India.

Job Description

About the Role

Our systems capture images from high-speed manufacturing lines, run DL algorithms at real-time latency, and detect faults at upwards of 99% accuracy. We are looking for rock‑star Field Application Engineers for our computer vision products who can own the customer deployment process and ensure a world-class quality inspection system on their end.

Responsibilities

• Customer visits for inspection and deployment
• Inventory management for the system dependencies
• Working collaboratively with automation vendors for system integration
• System commissioning and validation
• Support and maintenance of the system if and when required
• Travel around 5–6 times a month across pan India

Requirements

1. Experience in deploying Machine‑Vision based quality inspection systems.
2. Experience in PLC programming.
3. Experience in Electrical Panel wiring.
4. Knowledge of sensors and automation systems.
5. Experience with Linux‑based systems and command terminals (good to have).
6. Experience in using debugging tools like multimeter, oscilloscope etc.
7. Experience in setting up test setups for end-to-end testing.
8. Experience in 3D CAD modeling (good to have, e.g., Autodesk Fusion 360).
