Job summary

Praper Media in Chandigarh, India is seeking a creative Videographer Intern to join our production team. You will work closely with directors, videographers, and editors to assist in creating engaging video content for Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other platforms.

You will gain hands-on experience in planning shoots, camera setups, lighting, and collaboration across departments, contributing to diverse formats and storytelling styles.

Qualifications

• Passion for videography, filmmaking, or digital content creation.
• Understanding of camera operation, framing, composition, and lighting.
• Familiarity with camera systems (Sony, Canon, Blackmagic) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of tripods, gimbals, lighting, and audio setups.
• Interest in creating content for Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn.

Responsibilities

• Assist production team in planning and executing video shoots for social media.
• Support shoots for founder’s personal branding content, including talking-head videos, reels, interviews, and BTS content.
• Assist with camera setup, lens selection, lighting, and basic audio.
• Help set up lighting for different environments and formats.
• Coordinate with editors to hand over footage and maintain organization.
• Stay updated with social media trends and cinematography styles.
• Contribute ideas for camera angles, transitions, and visual treatments.
• Maintain a consistent visual style aligned with the brand.

We are looking for a creative Videographer Intern to join our production team. As a Videographer Intern, you will work closely with our creative directors, videographers, editors, and content teams to assist in creating visually engaging video content for Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the production team in planning and executing video shoots for social media and digital platforms.
• Support shoots for the founder’s personal branding content, including talking-head videos, reels, interviews, and behind-the-scenes content.
• Assist with camera setup, lens selection, tripods, gimbals, lighting, and basic audio equipment.
• Help set up and adjust lighting according to different shooting environments and content formats.
• Assist in framing, composition, camera movements, and capturing visually engaging footage.
• Work closely with creative and content teams to understand concepts, shot lists, and storytelling requirements.
• Contribute creative ideas for camera angles, transitions, compositions, and visual treatments.
• Assist in maintaining a consistent visual style aligned with the brand’s identity.
• Coordinate with editors and post-production teams to ensure footage is properly organised and handed over.
• Support studio setups, equipment preparation, shoot schedules, and on-set requirements.
• Maintain and organise camera, lighting, and production equipment.
• Stay updated with social media trends, emerging cinematography styles, and creator-led video formats.
• Learn and adapt to professional production workflows while working alongside team members.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Passion for videography, filmmaking, cinematography, or digital content creation.
• Understanding of camera operation, framing, composition, and lighting.
• Familiarity with professional or mirrorless camera systems such as Sony, Canon, Blackmagic, or similar is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of tripods, gimbals, lighting equipment, and audio setups.
• Interest in creating content for Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other social platforms.
• A creative eye and willingness to experiment with different visual styles and storytelling techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing shoot requirements.
