Job description

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly creative and technically skilled Videographer / Cinematographer who can take ownership of the brand’s visual content — from conceptualising and shooting to managing production requirements.

This is not just a camera-operation role. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of cinematography, visual storytelling, composition, lighting, camera movement and social-media content, and should be able to translate creative ideas into high-quality visual content.

The person will be responsible for covering the brand’s day-to-day content, reels, interviews, educational content, events, campaigns, brand films and other visual requirements.

They will also be responsible for coordinating with external videographers, photographers or production teams whenever additional resources are required for larger events or productions.

Key Responsibilities
Video Production & Shooting
  • Shoot high-quality video content for Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and other digital platforms.
  • Handle day-to-day shooting requirements including reels, interviews, testimonials, educational content, podcasts, behind-the-scenes content and brand stories.
  • Cover seminars, workshops, events, launches, networking events and other brand activities.
  • Capture both planned and spontaneous content opportunities within the organisation.
  • Ensure all footage is technically sound and creatively strong.
Cinematography & Visual Storytelling

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of framing, composition, lighting, camera movement, lenses, depth and visual aesthetics.

  • Create visually engaging footage rather than simply documenting an event or activity.
  • Develop a consistent visual language for the brand.
  • Experiment with different camera techniques, perspectives, movements and storytelling styles.
  • Contribute ideas for recurring content formats and social-media content IPs.
Events & Large Productions
  • Take ownership of video coverage for events and important brand activities.
  • Understand the coverage requirement before an event and plan the required shots, equipment and resources.
  • Coordinate with external videographers, photographers or production teams whenever additional manpower is required.
  • Brief and coordinate outsourced production resources.
  • Ensure that outsourced work meets the brand’s quality standards.
  • Manage the complete video-production requirement for an event from planning to final footage handover.
Pre-Production
  • Participate in content ideation and creative discussions.
  • Understand scripts, concepts and campaign requirements before shooting.
  • Plan shots, locations, lighting, equipment and production requirements.
  • Create shot lists and basic storyboards wherever required.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Video Editor & Graphic Designer to ensure footage is captured in a way that supports the final edit.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on campaigns and brand initiatives.
  • Coordinate with external agencies, freelancers and production teams whenever required.
Equipment & Production Management
  • Handle and maintain cameras, lenses, lighting, audio equipment, gimbals, tripods and other production equipment.
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained and available for shoots.
  • Identify additional equipment or production resources required for specific projects.
  • Maintain organised footage and ensure proper file transfer and storage after shoots.
Key Skills
  • Strong understanding of cameras, lenses, lighting, audio and video-production equipment.
  • Strong eye for composition, framing and visual storytelling.
  • Ability to create high-quality social-media-first content.
  • Understanding of both short-form and long-form video.
  • Ability to shoot cinematic and premium-quality content when required.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of shoots.
  • Strong creative thinking and attention to detail.
