Role Description

The Video Editor role is a full-time hybrid position based in New Delhi, with the flexibility to perform some work from home. On a day-to-day basis, the Video Editor will import, organize, and edit video footage, including cutting, assembling, and refining sequences to match project briefs and timelines. The role involves applying color correction and grading, adding motion graphics and visual elements, and ensuring audio synchronization and basic sound polish. The Video Editor will collaborate with directors, content creators, and designers to interpret storyboards, incorporate feedback, and deliver final outputs in various formats for web, social media, and other channels. Responsibilities also include managing project files, maintaining a consistent brand look and feel across content, and staying updated on editing trends and software features.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Video Editing and Video Production for assembling footage, structuring narratives, and managing end-to-end video workflows.
• Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading for enhancing visual tone, consistency, and overall image quality.
• Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics for creating titles, lower thirds, transitions, and visual elements that support storytelling.
• Proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and basic audio editing tools.
• Strong visual storytelling abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to incorporate feedback constructively.
• Relevant experience in video editing for digital platforms; a portfolio or showreel demonstrating past work is highly desirable.
• A diploma or degree in Film, Media, Design, or a related field is beneficial, though equivalent practical experience is also valued.
