You will collaborate with content strategists and the marketing team to ensure brand alignment and audience retention, while staying current with editing trends and platform formats. Mumbai-based, full-time role.

Responsibilities

• Follow scripts, briefs, and brand guidelines.
• Create strong hooks and maintain audience retention.
• Use B-roll, stock footage, screenshots, and animations as needed.
• Resize videos for different platforms and aspect ratios.
• Collaborate with strategists to understand audience and purpose.

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to create engaging short-form and long-form video content for social media and digital platforms. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, transitions, captions, sound design, and current social media editing trends. You will work closely with content strategists, creators, and the marketing team to transform raw footage into polished, high-performing content.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit short-form videos for Instagram & Facebook Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social media platforms
• Add subtitles, captions, graphics, transitions, sound effects, music, and visual effects
• Turn raw footage into engaging and professionally finished videos
• Follow scripts, content briefs, and brand guidelines
• Create strong opening hooks and maintain audience retention throughout videos
• Use B-roll, stock footage, screenshots, animations, and supporting visuals where appropriate
• Resize and adapt videos for different platforms and aspect ratios
• Work closely with content strategists to understand the purpose and target audience of each video
• Maintain consistency with the brand’s visual identity and editing style
• Review and revise videos based on feedback
• Organise footage, audio, graphics, project files, and completed exports
• Deliver videos according to content calendars and deadlines
• Stay updated with trending editing styles, transitions, effects, memes, and social media formats
• Suggest creative ideas to make content more engaging and shareable

Required Skills

• Willingness to experiment with new editing techniques and AI-based editing tools

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in video editing, social media editing, content production, or a related field

• Freelance or agency experience will also be considered
• A strong portfolio of edited videos is highly preferred
