Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of professional video editing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro.
• Familiarity with Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and VFX.
• Familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator and Canva.
• Experience with AI powered creative tools such as Midjourney, Gemini, Leonardo AI, and more.
• Portfolio/showreel demonstrating previous work is required.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively with producers and content teams.

Responsibilities

• Edit short form and long form video content for digital platforms.
• Transform raw footage into engaging, polished, story driven videos.
• Edit news segments, interviews, reels, YouTube, promos, and branded content.
• Create openings, transitions, pacing, and visual storytelling.
• Add graphics, text, captions, motion elements, music, and sound effects.
• Use AI powered tools to support production, ideation, and content development.
• Perform basic colour correction, audio cleanup, and post production.
• Work with producers and anchors to understand creative requirements.
• Select strongest footage and craft compelling narratives.
• Create platform specific versions for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, etc.
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Maintain IMARKIT MEDIA's visual and editorial standards.

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail oriented Video Editor who knows how to turn raw footage into compelling stories.

You will work closely with anchors, producers, content creators, and the creative team to produce high impact videos for digital platforms, social media, news, interviews, marketing campaigns, and branded content.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable using professional video editing software, AI powered creative tools, motion graphics applications, audio editing tools, and graphic design software to develop engaging and high quality content.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit short form and long form video content for digital platforms.
• Transform raw footage into engaging, polished, story driven videos.
• Edit news segments, interviews, reels, YouTube videos, promotional content, and branded videos.
• Create strong openings, transitions, pacing, and visual storytelling.
• Add graphics, text, captions, motion elements, music, sound effects, and other creative enhancements.
• Use AI powered creative tools to support video production, ideation, visual generation, voice generation, and content development.
• Perform basic colour correction, audio cleanup, video finishing, and post production.
• Work with producers, anchors, and content teams to understand creative requirements.
• Select the strongest footage and build compelling narratives.
• Create platform specific versions for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and other digital channels.
• Use AI tools to assist with creative concepts, scripts, visuals, voiceovers, research, and content production where appropriate.
• Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
• Maintain consistency with IMARKIT MEDIA's visual and editorial standards.
• Stay updated with current video editing, AI, social media, and content production trends.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of professional video editing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro.
• Familiarity with Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and visual effects.
• Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, and Canva.
• Experience or familiarity with AI powered creative tools such as Midjourney, Gemini, Leonardo AI, Google Veo 3, ElevenLabs, ChatGPT, Perplexity AI, and Hailuo AI.
• Knowledge of 3D and animation software such as 3ds Max and Autodesk Maya is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, composition, music, sound, colour, and visual hierarchy.
• Ability to edit both short form and long form content.
• Understanding of social media video formats and platform specific content requirements.
• Good eye for detail and visual quality.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines without compromising quality.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to take creative direction and work collaboratively with producers, anchors, and content creators.
• A portfolio/showreel demonstrating previous work is required.
