Indexed is seeking an experienced video editor to turn raw footage into compelling content for a founder with diverse digital ventures in India. The ideal candidate edits daily, leveraging AI to multiply output while preserving high quality across short and long-form formats.

You will handle hooks, pacing, captions, B-roll, audio, color, and thumbnails, delivering scalable variations for each platform and maintaining premium brand standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience editing for founders, creators, or media brands.
• Able to explain why a cut, hook or pacing works.
• Proficient in the full toolkit: Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, After Effects, CapCut.
• Daily editing with AI tools to multiply output without sacrificing quality.

Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into finished videos: short-form for reels, Shorts, TikTok, LinkedIn, plus long-form YouTube and podcasts.
• Pull multiple clips and variations from each recording for platform-specific formats.
• Use AI tools for transcription-based cutting, auto-captions, reframing, and upscaling.
• Move fast to deliver finished cuts within hours, not days.
• Deliver ready-to-publish files clearly labeled by platform and hand over to the publishing team.
• Maintain premium brand guidelines across fonts, colours, captions, graphics and tone.

Job description

We're building the personal brand of an entrepreneur and investor with several businesses across digital marketing, AI and software. The founder films video every week, on the go, in the studio and at shoots. We need an experienced editor who can turn that raw footage into content people stop scrolling for, at a speed and volume most editors can't match.

This is not a part-time or freelance gig. We're looking for someone who edits every day, knows every tool, and uses AI to multiply what one person can produce, without the quality ever slipping.

What you'll do

• Edit raw footage into finished videos. Short-form for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok and LinkedIn, plus long-form YouTube and podcast edits. You'll handle hooks, pacing, captions, b-roll, sound design, music, colour, motion graphics and thumbnails.
• Get more out of every shoot. Pull multiple clips, cutdowns and variations from each recording, with each one built for the platform it's going on.
• Use AI at every step. Use AI tools for transcription-based cutting, clip detection, auto-captions, reframing, audio cleanup, upscaling and generated visuals, so you deliver the output of a small team on your own.
• Move fast. When footage comes in, finished cuts should go out within hours, not days.
• Hand over ready-to-publish files to our Content Repurposing Lead and Publishing Assistant, clearly labelled by platform.
• Keep every asset within premium brand guidelines: fonts, colours, captions, graphics and tone.

You'll fit if you

• Have done this already, editing for a founder, creator, executive, podcast or media brand. We're not looking for someone new to editing.
• Edit day in, day out, and can explain exactly why a cut, hook or pacing choice works.
• Know the full toolkit (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, After Effects, CapCut) and are fast in all of them.
• Use AI editing tools every day (e.g. Descript, Opus Clip, Runway, ElevenLabs, Topaz, Submagic), keep testing what's new, and can show how they multiply your output.
• Understand social: what's working on each platform right now, why the first two seconds matter, and how retention is won or lost.
• Can deliver high volume at a consistently premium standard, so the work looks like it had a much bigger budget behind it.
