Job summary

Eleven Media is seeking a creative Video Editor for The Daily Net. You will transform raw stories into engaging short-form and long-form videos, collaborating with producers to shape structure and emotional impact.

Ideal candidates have a strong portfolio, experience with interviews, voiceovers, and graphics, and proficiency in Premiere Pro. Remote role with deadlines and occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating strong storytelling, pacing, and emotional impact.
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro or similar professional editing software.
• Experience editing interviews, contributor footage, voiceovers, music, graphics and captions.
• Strong understanding of social platforms, video formats, audience retention and content packaging.
• Good visual judgment and attention to detail across picture, sound, graphics and text.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple edits and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Edit original short-form and long-form videos from raw footage through final delivery.
• Work with producers to shape story structure, pacing, emotional impact and visual flow.
• Select strongest interviews, soundbites, footage, music, and visual moments for each story.
• Add graphics, captions, transitions, sound design, and other elements that strengthen the video.
• Adapt videos for different platforms, formats, aspect ratios and audience behaviours.
• Ensure every video reflects The Daily Net’s voice, tone, visual identity, and quality standards.
• Use only approved footage and assets, maintaining correct attribution where required.
• Manage revisions and deliver final videos accurately and on schedule.
• Review performance data and audience feedback to improve future edits.
• Stay current with editing styles, platform trends, competitor content, and new creative tools.
• Communicate clearly with producers and other teams throughout the editing process.
• Remain flexible for timely stories, including occasional weekend work when required.
