Job description

The Video Editor will be responsible for editing, assembling, and delivering high-quality video content that aligns with ISKCON Bangalore’s vision of spreading spiritual awareness through creative media. The role demands proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and related tools within the Adobe Creative Suite to produce engaging, visually appealing, and brand-consistent videos for various platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into compelling and coherent videos based on scripts or creative briefs.
• Organize and sync multi-camera footage, audio, and B-roll.
• Maintain good pacing, narrative flow, and viewer engagement suitable for devotional and educational content.

2. Motion Graphics & Visual Enhancements

• Design and integrate motion graphics, intros/outros, text animations, and visual effects using After Effects.
• Apply color correction and grading to enhance visual appeal and maintain brand tone.
• Develop reusable templates for ongoing content formats and campaigns.

3. Brand Alignment & Quality Standards

• Ensure all outputs are in harmony with ISKCON Bangalore’s brand identity, tone, and message.
• Uphold high standards of aesthetics, accuracy, and devotional presentation.
• Review every deliverable for visual and audio consistency, ensuring it’s error‑free before final submission.
• Work closely with writers, designers, and content strategists to understand project vision.
• Incorporate feedback effectively from multiple stakeholders while maintaining timelines.
• Follow the department’s file naming conventions, folder structures, and project documentation standards.

5. Multi-Platform Output

• Export optimized videos in different aspect ratios (16:9, 9:16, 1:1) for YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.
• Deliver various versions as per internal SOPs — Social Media, Standard, and Camera‑specific exports.
• Ensure correct compression, resolution, and sound mix for each platform.
• Stay updated with evolving video trends, social media storytelling styles, and editing techniques.
• Suggest creative concepts and improvements in video storytelling for campaigns and reels.
• Explore new features in Adobe tools and integrate them into workflow to improve output quality.

7. Asset & File Management

• Maintain organized project archives, version history, and backups.
• Ensure proper storage and retrieval of project files and exported versions.
• Follow post‑production SOPs strictly for quality control and long‑term accessibility.

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in video editing.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects (mandatory).
• Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is an added advantage.
• Strong storytelling sense with attention to visual rhythm, pacing, and music synchronization.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under minimal supervision.
