Job summary

The VP will build and scale a world-class QA organization, govern quality standards, and partner with delivery leadership to elevate quality and customer trust across insurance platforms.

Qualifications

• 20+ years in software quality assurance or quality engineering.
• 5+ years in VP, Senior Director or Head of QA leading global teams.
• Proven experience building AI-enabled QA programs.
• Experience in insurance/financial services or regulated enterprise software is preferred.

The VP, Quality Engineering, Delivery owns the vision, strategy, and execution of quality assurance across all Sapiens’ Property & Casualty (P&C) and Life delivery projects. The role spans the global organization of Quality Analysts, test automation, and performance Quality Analysts embedded in customer implementation, SaaS migration and SaaS support programs. The owner sets enterprise-wide quality standards and governance, and partners with delivery leadership to enhance quality, reduce production risk, and strengthen customer trust across insurance platforms. The role combines strategic quality leadership, organizational and budget ownership, technology and automation modernization, and AI-augmented quality engineering to scale a high-performing, accountable global QA function.

Key Responsibilities

Define and own the global QA strategy, vision, and multi-year roadmap across manual testing, automation, and performance engineering for all delivery projects.

Build, lead, and scale a global, multi-site QA organization, including QA Managers, Automation Managers, Performance Engineering leads, and their teams.

Own the enterprise delivery quality governance framework, including standards, policies, metrics, KPIs, and executive-level reporting on quality status, risk, and release readiness across all products and releases.

Champion Agile, SAFE and iterative delivery practices across the QA organization, ensuring quality is embedded early and continuously across the SDLC.

Define and govern enterprise-wide adoption of AI-augmented quality engineering practices, including AI-assisted test generation, defect and failure analysis, predictive quality insights, and responsible-AI usage standards.

Drive enterprise test automation and performance engineering strategy, including framework standardization, CI/CD-integrated quality gates, tool rationalization, and reusable engineering assets.

Build organizational capability through hiring, org design, career pathing, succession planning, and development of QA Managers and future quality leaders.

Drive continuous improvement in quality culture and practices, including shift-left testing, risk-based coverage, exploratory testing, and expert testing.

Must Have Skills & Qualifications

Experience & Background

20+ years of progressive experience in software quality assurance or quality engineering, including 5+ years in a VP, Senior Director, or Head of QA capacity leading global, multi-disciplinary teams.

Proven experience leading scaled and skilled QA organizations, across manual testing, automation, and performance engineering functions across multiple geographies.

Strong track record of building and scaling AI usage in QA, and test automation programs (functional, API, performance).

Experience in insurance, financial services, healthcare or other complex, regulated enterprise software domains is strongly preferred.

Technical & Functional Skills

Strong understanding of test strategy and test coverage, aligned to business processes and system processes

Strong command of quality metrics, KPIs, risk-based testing methodologies, and quality governance frameworks appropriate for enterprise-scale delivery.

Deep, cross-disciplinary expertise across manual testing, test automation frameworks, performance engineering, and API/database validation practices.

Strong grasp of test management tools (e.g., Jira, Zephyr), and CI/CD-integrated test automation.

Strong knowledge of automation tooling and approaches (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, API testing tools, performance testing tools) and how AI/GenAI is applied to test generation, defect analysis, and self-healing automation.

Personal Attributes

Demonstrated ability to lead, structure, and scale a large, geographically distributed organization.

Executive presence and the ability to engage confidently with C-level clients and internal leadership.

Change-oriented mindset with readiness to be hands-on when needed
