Job description

Role Purpose

The Vice President Technology will be responsible for driving Tech transformations & Innovation with AI, technology operations, project delivery and change management across the organization. The role will ensure a robust, scalable, secure and business-aligned technology environment that supports the Organization growth, digital transformation and evolving regulatory requirements.

The role will work closely with sales (business), credit, operations, risk, compliance and senior technology leadership to translate business priorities into effective technology solutions and ensure timely, high-quality delivery of strategic initiatives.

Role & responsibilities

1. Technology & Digital Transformation with AI

• Drive technology modernization and transformation initiatives aligned with the organization's business strategy with the help of modern state of art AI capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, automation, digital capabilities and customer/employee experience.
• Lead organizational change management, stakeholder communication, adoption and transition to new technology platform
• Support emerging technology initiatives including AI, analytics, cloud and automation, as relevant to the business.

2. Project & Program Delivery

• Own end-to-end delivery of technology projects from planning and business requirements through implementation and stabilization.
• Manage multiple strategic projects across applications, infrastructure, digital platforms, lending systems and enterprise technology.
• Establish project governance, milestones, budgets, dependencies, risks and executive reporting. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.

3. Business & Stakeholder Management

• Partner with business and functional leaders to understand priorities and translate them into technology roadmaps.
• Act as a trusted technology partner to business, operations, risk, compliance and corporate functions.
• Provide regular updates to the Head of Technology and senior management on delivery status, technology risks, priorities and investments.

4. Governance, Risk & Compliance

• Ensure technology initiatives and operations comply with applicable RBI, regulatory, information security, audit and internal control requirements.
• Strengthen technology governance, risk management, audit remediation and compliance processes.

Drive effective third-party/vendor governance and technology risk oversight.

Preferred candidate profile

• 12+ years of progressive experience in IT/Technology, preferably with significant experience in financial services, NBFC, banking or lending.
• Demonstrated ability to drive AI interventions and use cases along with complex technology programs involving multiple stakeholders and vendors.
• Strong understanding of enterprise applications, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, IT service management and digital technologies.
• Experience with lending technology ecosystems such as LMS, LOS, digital onboarding, collections, credit and customer platforms would be an advantage.
• Strong commercial, analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder-management capabilities.
• Proven ability to lead teams, influence senior stakeholders and operate effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization.
