Job summary

Macquarie Asset Management"s Fund Services team seeks a senior accounting professional to oversee financial reporting and analysis across funds. You will review income statements, balance sheets and notes, and coordinate with auditors to ensure accuracy and completeness of reporting.

You will drive monthly/quarterly deliverables, support new accounting standard implementations and acquisitions, and contribute to process improvements to add value and quality across all reporting tasks.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate accounting qualification (CA or CPA) is required.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP applicable to banking.
• Experience working in a virtual global team and managing cross-border relationships.
• Willingness to travel internationally if required.

Responsibilities

• Review income statements, balance sheets, notes, variance analyses and commentaries.
• Liaise with auditors and stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee monthly and quarterly deliverables including Form 10-Q and 10-K.
• Support projects related to new accounting standard implementations, restructures, and acquisitions.
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiencies and maintain high quality across the team's work.

In this role, you'll be responsible for reviewing income statements, balance sheets, financial statement notes, variance analyses, and commentaries, while liaising with auditors and key stakeholders to ensure accurate and complete financial reporting. You'll oversee monthly and quarterly deliverables, including Form 10-Q and 10-K reports, respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders, and support projects related to new accounting standard implementations, restructures, and acquisitions in collaboration with relevant teams. You'll also have the opportunity to drive continuous innovation by improving processes, enhancing efficiencies, adding value, and maintaining a strong focus on quality across all aspects of the team's work.

What you offer

• 12+ years of experience with a strong background in financial accounting and reporting services with a postgraduate accounting qualification (CA or CPA)
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of the reporting requirements under IFRS or US GAAP, particularly standards that are relevant to the banking industry.
• Ability to work in a virtual global team, manage cross-border relationships and be willing to travel internationally if required.
• Demonstrative strong sense of accountability and ownership, as well as strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to innovate with a focus on improving processes to enhance efficiencies and add value.
