Job summary

Talpro India seeks a Vice President of Engineering Security PCC to lead a multi-geography team (India & UK) in building advanced network security products. You will drive development, support, maintenance, and implementation of large projects through managers and leads.

You will guide architecture, collaborate with product and delivery teams, and champion agile practices while pushing for automation and efficiency to meet business objectives.

Qualifications

• 20+ years in telecom network product development.
• Proven leadership building core telecom products.
• Experience with SS7, Diameter, GTP, SIP, and 5G networks.
• Experience with MSC/SBC/HLR/IMS nodes and related stacks.
• Knowledge of cyber security concepts and threats.
• Ability to deliver in ambiguous environments and negotiate with stakeholders.

Job description

Position: Vice President, Engineering Security PCC

Reports to: Global Head of Engineering

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

• This person would be responsible to lead a multi-geography (India & UK) team to build and enhance best-in-class network security solutions. Person would be responsible for development, support, maintenance, and implementation of a large complex project/multiple medium sized projects through a team, utilizing managers & team leads.
• Lead the team responsible for building and managing the network security product line.
• Partner with multiple business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to design, develop and execute network security products and platforms with the urgency appropriated for the business objectives.
• Implement and follow reproducible, auditable, collaborative development practices.
• Ensure the team has the right tools, processes, and agile principles in place to deliver work that is on time and to specification.
• Focus on automation and utilizing technology to provide repeatable solutions; drive optimization and efficiency initiatives to support reduced cycle time.
• Collaborate effectively with peer teams and stakeholders - product management, delivery, and support teams.
• Actively participate in architecture discussion and product strategies.
• Design and influence technical roadmap across security product stack.
• Encourage diverse viewpoints from team members, maintain innovation-focused & resultoriented work-culture.

Educational Qualification:

BE. / B.Tech., M.E./M. Tech. or M. Sc. in Computer Science / Electronics Engineering / MCA from a reputed college.

RequirementsWork Experience:

• 20+ years experience of industry experience preferably in telco network product development.
• Proven leadership on building & leading team working on core telecom products.
• Extensive experience working in call flows for SS7 (SCCP/TCAP/MAP and CAP) / Diameter / GTP / SIP / 5G networks (at least 2 or 3 protocols).
• Candidates with experience on products like MSC, SBC, HLR, IMS nodes (S-CSCF, P-CSCF, IM-SSF, MGCF, BGCF, HSS, TAS (application servers), etc.), Firewall, etc. will be preferred.
• Knowledge of current and emerging Cyber Security concepts, technologies and methods and current and emerging threats
• Proven ability to complete projects and achieve results in an ambiguous work environment.
• Proven strong negotiating and consensus building abilities.

Skill Set:

• A passion for solving complex system and data challenges and desire to thrive in constantly innovating and changing environment.
• Outstanding business acumen with an understanding of business drivers and of how to drive value to the customer.
• Must have good knowledge of call flows for SS7 (SCCP/TCAP/MAP and CAP) / Diameter / GTP / SIP / 5G networks (at least 2 or 3 protocols).
• Must have good understanding of micro-services/containers/cloud-native architecture. Knowledge of Kubernetes/OpenStack platform will be useful. Know-how of Layer 2 / 3 networking concepts such as VLANs, IP routing, etc. .
