Job summary

Vessel Optimisation Analyst at ZeroNorth

As Vessel Optimisation Analyst, you will contribute to delivering world‑class technical expertise as an individual contributor to Vessel Optimisation projects and tasks. You will take a leading role in advising customers and colleagues on vessel hydrodynamics, fuel models, vessel performance and optimisation, where you will play an important role in building a team for success.

Key responsibilities

Assist on performance monitoring and optimisation tasks by providing analytical, fact‑based decision support.
Create and maintain theoretical and hydrodynamic performance models to analyse the impact of weather conditions, hull fouling and other external factors on propulsion efficiency and total energy management of onboard systems.
Provide monthly reporting and follow‑up on performance results, KPIs, fuel tables etc.
Monitor and execute projects efficiently.
Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Contribute to the daily tasks forming the department’s services.

Your profile

We imagine that you have a degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture but most important is relevant experience. Most probably you have been working with Vessel Optimisation and have in‑depth knowledge of data capture and modelling, creation of reports and supporting customers and you thrive being the first point of contact when it comes to details on vessel performance and fuel tables.

We expect you to be familiar with Python, R, BI or Tableau, Matlab, Java and so forth, being able to support the team in developing, for example, fuel models. A huge advantage would be experience with AI/ML.
