Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline.
• MBA / PG Diploma in Security Management preferred.
• Defence, Industrial Security, Risk Management, or Law Enforcement certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead security strategy & governance across all Defence & Aerospace facilities.
• Manage end-to-end physical and industrial security across plants, offices, warehouses, and project sites.
• Oversee security agencies and manpower, and protect critical assets and sensitive information.
• Lead investigations related to security breaches, theft, fraud, misconduct or Espionage risks.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and regulatory bodies as required.
• Develop crisis & emergency management frameworks and drive business continuity.
• Liaise with defence stakeholders, intelligence agencies, and leadership for security advisories.
• Drive modernization of security technologies and governance processes.

Job description

Purpose/Objective

• Vertical Security Head responsible for establishing, implementing, governing the complete security framework across all Adani Defence & Aerospace locations.
• Role will ensure protection of people, critical defence assets, classified information, infrastructure, manufacturing facilities, intellectual property, and business operations while maintaining compliance with national security regulations, defence industry standards, and company policies.
• Incumbent will lead physical security, industrial security, investigations, access control, crisis management, intelligence gathering, and security risk management activities across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities of Role

• Security Strategy & Governance
  • Develop and implement enterprise-wide security strategy for all Defence & Aerospace facilities.
  • Establish security policies, SOPs, emergency response plans, and governance frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, defence security requirements, and internal standards.
  • Conduct periodic security audits and compliance reviews.
• Physical & Industrial Security
  • Manage end-to-end physical security operations across all plants, offices, warehouses, test ranges, and project sites.
  • Oversee deployment and management of security agencies and manpower.
  • Ensure effective protection of critical assets, equipment, defence products, ammunition, UAVs, missile systems, and sensitive infrastructure.
  • Strengthen perimeter security, surveillance systems, intrusion detection, and access control mechanisms.
• Investigation & Risk Management
  • Lead investigations related to security breaches, theft, fraud, misconduct, espionage risks, and other security incidents.
  • Conduct threat assessments and vulnerability analysis.
  • Develop risk mitigation plans and ensure timely closure of findings.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement agencies when required.
• Defence & Information Security Compliance
  • Ensure protection of classified defence information and sensitive project data.
  • Implement security controls aligned with defence manufacturing requirements.
  • Support site clearances, customer audits, and government security inspections.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity teams regarding protection of critical defence programs.
• Crisis & Emergency Management
  • Develop and manage crisis response frameworks.
  • Lead emergency response during security incidents, civil unrest, sabotage, natural disasters, or business disruptions.
  • Conduct mock drills and emergency preparedness exercises.
  • Ensure business continuity from a security perspective.
• Stakeholder Management
  • Liaise with Armed Forces, Defence PSUs, Ministry of Defence stakeholders, intelligence agencies, police authorities, and local administration.
  • Support leadership with security intelligence and risk updates.
  • Provide strategic security advisory to business heads and site leadership teams.
• Security Technology & Modernization
  • Drive implementation of modern security technologies including: CCTV Surveillance Systems, Access Control Systems, Command & Control Centres, Biometric Security Solutions, Drone Detection & Counter-Drone Systems, Visitor Management Systems, Integrated Security Platforms
  • Team Leadership - Lead site security teams across multiple locations.
  • Establish performance metrics and governance processes.
  • Drive capability building, training, and security awareness programs.
