Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of healthcare revenue cycle management or healthcare operations experience.
  • Minimum 2+ years of data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated experience with vendor performance monitoring or third-party management.
  • Experience developing performance dashboards, scorecards, or KPI tracking systems.

Job Summary
  • The Vendor Performance and Operations Analyst play a critical operational role in the Patient Responsibility Center of Excellence by providing real-time data monitoring, quality assurance, and performance analytics across all self-pay vendors. This position is responsible for continuously validating vendor input and output data, developing and maintaining performance scorecards, identifying trends and anomalies, and delivering actionable insights to support vendor management and operational optimization.
Essential Functions And Tasks
  • Monitor and validate all data sent to vendors (demographics, account balance, suppression flags, payer adjudication status) to ensure completeness, accuracy, and format compliance.
  • Audit vendor-returned data (coverage findings, engagement metrics, payment files, agency returns, statements) for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Design, build, and maintain standardized vendor performance scorecards across all vendor categories, tracking KPIs including eligibility hit rates, clean claim rates, denial rates, and match rates.
  • Compile and analyze monthly vendor performance data, identifying trends and variances; perform month-over-month, quarter-over-quarter, and year-over-year performance comparisons.
  • Create and maintain automated performance dashboards using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) that provide real-time visibility into vendor performance and operational metrics.
  • Investigate data discrepancies and quality issues across vendor interfaces, documenting findings and coordinating resolution with appropriate teams.
  • Develop and maintain escalation protocols for data quality issues, vendor performance problems, and SLA breaches.
  • Provide evidence-based reporting to support vendor management decisions and escalations to executive leadership.
  • Document and maintain workflows for all self-pay stages
  • Manage client/vendor configurations
  • Oversee placement and return file workflows for external collections
  • Support client onboarding and implementation of vendor workflows
  • Identify and execute on process improvement opportunities
  • Handle vendor workflow exception and issue resolution
  • Produce documentation and training for internal teams
Education And Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of healthcare revenue cycle management or healthcare operations experience.
  • Minimum 2+ years of data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated experience with vendor performance monitoring or third-party management.
  • Experience developing performance dashboards, scorecards, or KPI tracking systems.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Deep understanding of revenue cycle workflows, particularly self-pay operations.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis, dashboard creation).
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Google Analytics, or similar).
  • Familiarity with SQL and ability to query databases to extract and analyze data.
  • Experience with healthcare billing systems or platforms (Epic, Cerner, Athena, or similar).
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements and billing regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present data to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Collaborative team player with strong cross-functional communication skills.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues before they escalade.
  • Ability to learn new systems and tools quickly.
  • Customer service orientation with focus on delivering value to internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Compensation
  • Base Compensation will be based on various factors unique to each candidate including geographic location, skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
  • This position is also eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus in accordance with company policies.
