Job summary

Tata Technologies Ltd. is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer with strong CATIA V5 skills to contribute to vehicle systems design, packaging, and ergonomics.

The role focuses on defining feasibility, creating CAD data, and coordinating DMU processes to ensure robust integration of components within vehicle packages. Ideal candidates will have 3–4 years in automotive engineering, exposure to CAVA, Ramsis, Creo, and PLM tools, and a solid grounding in body/trim engineering concepts and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–4 years of experience in automotive engineering.
• Proficient in CATIA V5; knowledge of CAVA, Ramsis, Creo and PLM is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create CAD proposals, concept data, packaging and alternate solutions for vehicle systems and performance attributes.
• Create critical feasibility sections and CAD data.
• Develop Vehicle Package Layout with packaging, performance, hardpoints, regulatory and ergonomic considerations.
• Build and coordinate ergonomic buck builds.
• Prepare preliminary BOM, DMU sessions and DMU checks, PMXU change content.
• Perform DFM, DFA and DFS checks; conduct benchmarking.

Job Description

• Create CAD proposals, concept data, packaging and alternate solutions for vehicle systems, aggregates, features and performance attributes.
• Create critical feasibility sections and CAD data.
• Create Vehicle Package Layout with understanding of packaging, performance, hardpoints, regulatory, ergonomic and feasibility aspects.
• Build and coordinate ergonomic buck build.
• Prepare Preliminary BOM, DMU sessions, DMU checks, assessment reports and PMXU change content.
• Perform DFM, DFA and DFS checks.
• Perform competitor benchmarking.

• Coordinate with engineering functions for KO PDSR completion.
• Support documentation related to PDSR deliverables.
• Create and maintain design guidelines, standards, best practices and efficiency tools.

Primary Skill: Body & Trim Engineering, Suspension, Steering, Vehicle Package Layout (VPL), Vehicle Ergonomics, SAE nomenclatures, vehicle regulatory standards and safety requirements.

Must Have: Automotive Passenger Car Engineering Domain, CATIA V5, CAVA, Ramsis, Creo, PLM (TCE, TCUA) and Vis Mock-up experience of minimum 3 years.

Added Advantage: Electric Vehicle HV systems knowledge and Vehicle Integration background.
