Responsibilities

• Mobilize and engage VDVK members through advocacy and awareness programmes.
• Plan and deliver training on value addition, enterprise development, and livelihoods.
• Provide handholding and capacity-building support to VDVKs.
• Develop and facilitate market linkages for VDVK products and buyers.
• Establish financial linkages with banks and financial institutions for VDVK enterprises.
• Maintain database of VDVK members and activities.
• Coordinate day-to-day functioning of VDVKs for smooth operations.
• Prepare training completion reports and document outcomes and impacts.

Position: VDVK Coordinator
Location: Narmada and Tapi, Gujarat

Reporting To: Team Leader

Role Overview:

The VDVK Coordinator will be responsible for strengthening Van Dhan Vikas Kendras through capacity building, market linkage development, and continuous mentoring support. The role focuses on enhancing livelihoods of VDVK members through effective training, coordination, and institutional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct advocacy and awareness programmes to mobilize and engage VDVK members.
• Plan and deliver training programmes related to value addition, enterprise development, and livelihood enhancement.
• Provide continuous handholding, mentoring, and capacity-building support to VDVKs.
• Develop and facilitate market linkages for VDVK products, including identifying buyers and promoting products.
• Establish financial linkages with banks and other financial institutions to support VDVK enterprises.
• Maintain the database of VDVK members and activities.
• Coordinate day-to-day functioning of VDVKs to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare training completion reports and document outcomes and impacts.
• Monitor progress of VDVK activities and support members in improving productivity and income.
• Ensure effective implementation of project guidelines at the field level.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Rural Development, Social Work, Agriculture, or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in community mobilization, livelihood promotion, or tribal development projects.
• Strong communication in Gujarati and facilitation skills.
• Experience in conducting trainings and working with community institutions.
• Knowledge of market linkages and financial inclusion is desirable.
• Ability to travel extensively to field locations.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and data management.

Maximum Payment: Rs.15000/- + 5000 (TA)
