Job summary

Freudenberg in India is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with PM/production experience to join the VC ProMaP project core team. You will be involved early in risk evaluation, attend project meetings, and help coordinate launches across functions.

The role focuses on ensuring on-time, on-budget SOPs with quality, leading weekly launch meetings, monitoring ECRs, and supporting customer audits.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering degree required with 3 years in PM/production/industrialization.
• Automotive industry experience preferred with complex projects.
• Strong presentation, communication skills and risk management understanding.

Responsibilities

• Be part of VC ProMaP project core team and contribute to risk evaluations and gate reviews.
• Coordinate launch processes across plant functions to ensure on-time, on-budget SOP with quality.
• Lead weekly launch meetings, define launch team and monitor ECRs.
• Create and monitor the launch timing plan for plant activities.
• Support customer audits and share lessons learned within Launch Management.

Responsibilities

• - As part of the VC ProMaP project core team, early involvement in the project (ideally in phase 1 in the 'project risk evaluation'), attend & contribute to project meetings and gate reviews, when appropriate to Multi Project Board meeting as well, provide inputs to risk and ECR events organized by the Project Manager.
• 2- Accountable for all Operations activities from the beginning to the end of the project, with a maximum peak of involvement in phase 3 and 4: coordinate the processes for new launches between the involved functions in the plant,e.g logistics, production, plant process engineering and quality
• 3- Contributes to planning and preparation of PTR(s)
• 4- Main target: allow a successful SOP: series production begins on time, on budget without quality issues). Therefore, focus on achiebing a green IRR before SOP: use the LLI/LLR KPIs to anticipate Planning and preparation of IRR, complete the IRR documentation, tracking open actions from IRR(s)
• 5- Reports all launch projects, is expected to ... leads the weekly launch meetings to track the progress of the launches - Defines the launch team, out of the plant functions supporting the launches, together with plant manager
• 6- Coordinates and monitors in the plant project related ECRs (for running and closed projects)
• 7- Creates and monitors the launch timing plan for all plant activities related to a smooth launch
• 8- Contributes to the Lessons Learned collection and shares into the Launch Management organization
• 9- Supports preparation and execution of customer audits

Qualifications

B.Tech in Mechanical Engg 3 years experience in project management, production or industrialization Ideally in the automative industry, with complex project and processes Preference APQP knowledge Strong presentation and communication skills, Team player High understanding of risk management Autonomous, structured and target-oriented way of working
