Job summary

Source-Right in Bengaluru is seeking a Validation Engineer (CE30SF RM 4490) to design, implement, and maintain test plans and cases for embedded software across multiple MCU variants.

You will execute tests on real hardware and simulations, analyze results, and collaborate with developers to fix defects while advancing test automation and infrastructure in a Linux/Windows environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of validation and test development for embedded systems.
• Design, implement, and maintain test plans and test cases for embedded software.
• Experience in independently understanding and following test strategy, test plan, and test specification.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms, pipeline development, and automation.
• Knowledge of Jenkins administration and maintenance.
• Python scripting experience.
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing of low‑level drivers, middleware, and example applications.
• Execute tests on real hardware as well as in simulated or pre‑silicon environments, where applicable.
• Analyse test results, identify root causes, and collaborate with developers to debug and resolve defects.
• Contribute to improving test coverage, test automation, and test infrastructure.
• Validate software behaviour across different MCU variants, boards, and configurations.
• Ensure delivered software meets quality, reliability, and maintainability expectations
• Document test results clearly and communicate findings across teams.
