UX Research Intern:We're looking for a curious, empathetic, and proactive UX Research Intern to help us understand our users and improve their healthcare experiences. You'll work closely with the Design and Product teams to speak with real users, explore their behaviours, identify pain points, and turn research findings into meaningful product insights. This role is ideal for someone who loves asking questions, observing human behaviour, challenging assumptions, and understanding the why behind what people do.
What you'll do
- Conduct user research: Plan and conduct user interviews, contextual conversations, surveys, and usability testing.
- Talk to real users: Connect with patients, caregivers, and consumers to understand their healthcare needs, medicine-purchasing habits, and digital experiences.
- Explore user behaviour: Understand how people discover medicines, evaluate trust, interpret prescriptions, and make healthcare decisions.
- Identify pain points: Uncover friction, unmet needs, and opportunities across the customer journey.
- Analyse research findings: Organise qualitative and quantitative data, identify patterns, and synthesise insights.
- Communicate insights: Create research summaries, interview notes, user personas, journey maps, and insight presentations.
- Collaborate with teams: Work with Product Managers, Designers, and other stakeholders to translate findings into actionable product opportunities.
- Stay curious: Explore competitor experiences, emerging user behaviours, and new ways to make digital healthcare simpler and more accessible.
What we're looking for
- A student, recent graduate, or early-career candidate interested in UX research, human behaviour, psychology, or product discovery.
- Strong curiosity and empathy, with a genuine interest in understanding people.
- Excellent listening, communication, and questioning skills.
- Comfort speaking with unfamiliar people and conducting interviews in person or remotely.
- Strong observation and analytical skills, with the ability to identify patterns in qualitative feedback.
- Clear written communication and the ability to present findings in a structured manner.
- A self-starter who is organised, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Good to have
- Exposure to user research, design thinking, usability testing, or market research.
- Familiarity with tools such as Google Forms, Google Sheets, Excel, Miro, or Figma.
- Experience with college research projects, internships, field studies, or independent research.
- Interest in healthcare, consumer behaviour, accessibility, or digital products.
Prior professional experience is not mandatory. Curiosity, empathy, and the ability to learn are more important.
