Job summary

Gudah Consultants in Hyderabad is seeking an experienced accounting professional to support US client accounting, focusing on end-to-end US GAAP processes including AP/AR, payroll, GL, and month-end close.

The role requires CA Intermediate / CA / CMA / MBA Finance / CPA with 2+ years or M.Com with 5+ years, and strong skills in QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, and Excel. Knowledge of R&D/grant accounting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end accounting for US clients, including AP, AR, bank & card reconciliations, payroll, GL, and journal entries.
• Support life sciences accounting activities, including R&D expense tracking, clinical trial accruals, grant accounting, and deferred revenue.
• Prepare accounting schedules, workpapers, financial reports, and management reports.
• Review the work of junior team members and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with India- and US-based teams on accounting, reporting, and financial processes.

Experience

• 2+ years for CA Intermediate, CA, CMA, MBA Finance, or CPA candidates.
• 5+ years for M.Com candidates.
• B.Com candidates are not eligible.

• CA Intermediate / Chartered Accountant (CA) / CMA / MBA Finance / CPA with 2+ years of relevant experience, or
• M.Com with 5+ years of relevant experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end accounting for US clients, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank & Credit Card Reconciliations, Payroll, General Ledger, and Journal Entries.
• Support life sciences accounting activities, including R&D expense tracking, clinical trial accruals, grant accounting, and deferred revenue.
• Prepare accounting schedules, workpapers, financial reports, and management reports.
• Review the work of junior team members and provide constructive feedback.
• Allocate work based on team capacity and competency.
• Prepare and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of assigned tasks.
• Collaborate with India- and US-based teams on accounting, reporting, and financial processes.
• Adhere to internal policies, quality standards, and reporting deadlines.
• Continuously learn new accounting tools and technologies.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of US Accounting and US GAAP.
• Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Payroll, Bank Reconciliations, and Month-End Close.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO), Bill.com, and Microsoft Excel.
• Good analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting US-based Life Sciences clients such as Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Clinical Research Organizations (CROs), or Medical Device companies.
• Knowledge of ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), R&D accounting, grant accounting, clinical trial accruals, and deferred revenue is an added advantage.
