Job summary

Hsvj & Co in India is seeking a GST compliance professional to manage end-to-end GST obligations for multiple clients. You will prepare and file GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C and other returns, review data, reconcile registers with books, and ensure timely data collection from clients.

The role requires guiding junior team members, handling registrations and amendments, responding to notices, and staying updated with GST changes.

Qualifications

• Experience in GST compliance and filing duties.
• Knowledge of GST notices and assessments is preferred.
• Experience in audits and reconciliations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end GST compliance for multiple clients.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle end-to-end GST compliance for multiple clients.
• Prepare and file GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C and other applicable GST returns.
• Review GST data, sales and purchase registers, and reconcile them with books of accounts and GST portal data.
• Perform GSTR-2B reconciliation and identify mismatches in Input Tax Credit (ITC).
• Ensure timely follow-up with clients for required data and documents.
• Handle GST registrations, amendments, cancellations, revocations and other departmental applications.
• Assist in handling GST notices, assessments, departmental queries and replies.
• Prepare GST workings, reconciliations and supporting documents for audits and assessments.
• Stay updated with changes in GST laws, notifications, circulars and compliance requirements.
• Guide and review the work of junior team members, wherever required.
• Coordinate with clients, team members and seniors to ensure timely completion of assignments.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience in a Chartered Accountancy firm will be preferred.
• Candidates with practical exposure to GST compliance, litigation, assessments and advisory work will be an added advantage.
