Job summary

Aneja Associates seeks an experienced treasury audit professional to ensure compliance with RBI/SEBI guidelines, verify treasury processes and internal controls, and prepare comprehensive audit reports. You will verify accounting policies, investment transactions, and regulatory returns while coordinating with directors and clients.

The role requires strong knowledge across Fixed Income, Money Market, Forex, derivatives, and bullion, with excellent communication and documentation skills.

• Plan audit execution with client scope in mind.
• Provide status updates to Director and client regularly.

Responsibilities

• Compliance with RBI/SEBI/FEMA/FIMMDA guidelines and Investment Policy.
• Verify internal controls and treasury processes; check user access in treasury systems.
• Verify accounting per policy and RBI directions; ensure BIS/ICAi standards alignment.
• Audit primary and secondary market deals; verify investment income and returns.

Job description

• Compliance with the applicable circulars issued by RBI from time to time and guidelines specified in Investment Policy.


• Compliance with SEBI/FEMA/FIMMDA guidelines wherever applicable.


• Compliance with approved Investment Policy as is framed in compliance with various circulars issued by RBI and the internal procedures defined within Treasury function.


• Checking adequacy of Internal control system pertaining to treasury function (including user access management of Treasury system).


• To ensure that accounting is in conformity with Bank's accounting policy, accounting standards laid down by ICAI and directions issued by RBI.


• Verification of all deals conducted in the Primary and Secondary market in all type of instruments along with all money market transactions and applicable limits as defined in investment policy.


• Verification of Investment income including interest, dividend and Profit or loss on sale of Investments.


• Verification for correctness and timely submission of statutory and regulatory returns.


• Verification of collections of redemption/interest proceeds, accrued/receivable along with internal controls thereon.


• Reconciliation of securities held whether in SGL, Demat, or Physical form & securities issued with BENPOS.


• Verification of valuation of investment securities.


• Verification of Brokerage calculation in line with the Agreement and Bank Norms.

Preferred candidate profile

• Should have a strong domain across the spectrum of products offered by Bank / PD Treasuries such as Fixed Income, Money Market, Forex, Derivatives and Bullion.


• Plan audit execution in line with the scope agreed with the client.


• Giving status updates to Director and client on periodic basis.


• Conduct detailed walkthroughs to gain understanding of the processes and controls implemented by the client.


• Formulating checklists based on policies and regulatory guidelines


• Documenting work performed and maintaining work papers


• Review adherence with regulatory and statutory compliances


• Conducting audits within the time schedule assigned


• Identify areas of improvements for each process being audited and recommending the same to our clients


• To be abreast with all regulatory and other changes in relation to Treasury and financial markets


• Drafting Audit reports detailing findings of audit


• Should have good oral and written communication skills to articulate queries / observations to clients


• Should have good command over language and grammar


• Should have the ability to grasp / learn and unlearn processes / businesses of our clients
