Job summary

Precimax Engineers Limited in Navi Mumbai invites applications for a Mechanical Site Execution Engineer to supervise erection and installation of plant equipment at galvanizing facilities.

You will read mechanical drawings, coordinate with fabrication, civil, electrical and commissioning teams, ensure safety and quality, prepare daily reports, and support handover with as-built documentation. 1–3 years of experience preferred; Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1-3 years of experience in mechanical site execution.
• Experience in galvanizing plants, steel plants, fabrication projects or heavy engineering is preferred.
• Knowledge of quality inspection procedures and welding standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise erection and installation of mechanical equipment at sites.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and P&IDs.
• Coordinate with fabrication, civil, electrical and commissioning teams.
• Monitor installation of tanks, furnaces, chimneys, conveyors, pumps and piping systems.
• Ensure compliance with schedules, quality standards and safety regulations.
• Inspect incoming materials and prepare daily progress and site reports.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and vendors for site activities.
• Identify and resolve mechanical issues during installation and commissioning.
• Supervise subcontractors and labour teams; ensure proper alignment and welding.
• Participate in trial runs, testing and commissioning of plant machinery.
• Maintain site records and support handover with as-built documentation.
• Ensure use of PPE and adherence to safety policies.

Role & responsibilitiy

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise erection and installation of mechanical equipment for galvanizing plants.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and P&IDs.
• Coordinate with fabrication, civil, electrical, and commissioning teams for smooth project execution.
• Monitor installation of tanks, furnaces, chimneys, conveyors, cranes, pumps, piping systems, blowers, scrubbers, and other plant equipment.
• Ensure compliance with project schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Inspect incoming materials and verify them against project specifications.
• Prepare daily progress reports, work completion reports, and site documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and vendors regarding site activities.
• Identify and resolve mechanical issues during installation and commissioning.
• Supervise subcontractors and labour teams at site.
• Ensure proper alignment, leveling, welding, and assembly of mechanical equipment.
• Participate in trial runs, testing, and commissioning of plant machinery.
• Maintain site records including measurements, inspection reports, and material consumption.
• Ensure adherence to company safety policies and use of PPE by all personnel.
• Support handover activities and preparation of as-built documentation.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1-3years of experience in mechanical site execution.
• Experience in galvanizing plants, steel plants, fabrication projects, industrial plants, or heavy engineering projects is preferred.

• Experience in industrial plant installation.
• Knowledge of quality inspection procedures.
• Understanding of welding standards and mechanical alignment techniques.
• Awareness of industrial safety practices and work permit systems.
