Overview

URGENT HIRING FOR DATABASE DEVELOPER (DBA) — EXP 2 TO 5 YEARS — LOCATION: PUNE

Responsibilities

• Awareness of best practices in areas like writing queries and designing database objects such as data structures, tables, indexes, relationships, stored procedures, functions, and triggers as required to support application development activities.
• Understand the overall IT landscape including operating systems, networks, and storage devices and how they relate to the database environment.
• Thorough exposure to data modelling and normalization techniques with usage of relevant tools.
• Exposure to SSRS reports and configurations in database and web server.
• Exposure to creation and maintenance of SSIS packages.
• Day-to-day DBA activities – handling developer requests, installing, configuring, maintaining databases and database servers, performance and health monitoring, backup/retrieve, replication, etc.

Qualifications

• Exposure to SQL Server 2012 is a must.
• Exposure to at least one other database is preferred.
• Experience with performance profiling and tuning of queries.
