Job summary

DATAMARK, IN is seeking Urdu language interpreters for full-time on-site positions in Mumbai. The role requires native English and Urdu fluency, sharp cultural understanding, and excellent listening and note-taking to ensure precise interpretation across calls.

Candidates must be comfortable with rotational shifts including night hours and have access to reliable internet. Overtime pay and incentives are offered according to performance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Render accurate meaning between Urdu and English, preserving tone and grammar nuances.
• Provide precise renditions of messages, even on challenging calls.
• Demonstrate professional communication, clear enunciation and courteous language.
• Follow client instructions and manage call flow without interrupting the speaker.
• Remain calm during incoherent or upset situations and stay punctual.
• Ensure reliable internet access for work-related communication.

We are actively seeking for Urdu Language interpreters. Below JD for your reference.

Minimum Requirements:

1. 1.High Schools degree or equivalent.
2. 2.Native Fluency in English and Language
3. 3.Advanced skills in the cultural dynamics (cultural implication and idiomatic expression) of language.
4. 4.Excellent listening, retention and note-taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy.
5. 5.Ability to concentrate, stay detached from the conversation, and remain neutral and objective at all times.
6. 6.Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication with the permission or at request of the client.

Responsibilities:

• Renders correct concepts and meanings between language and English following complexity, clarity, tone and style from one language into another, upholding the correct rules for grammar and syntax in both languages.
• Provide strict renditions of the messages including every detail of the conversation and is prepared for challenging calls at any time.
• Employs good customer service and communication skills, clear enunciation, pronunciation, pleasant and professional voice as well as polite forms of expression.
• Follows instructions for clients, manages the flow of the call and avoids taking over the call, as well as avoids interaction with the limited English speaker person without the client's permission.
• Remains calm during calls in the event that one of the primary speakers is incoherent or upset, especially in emergency situations.
• Remains punctual and available during scheduled work hours.
• Ensures access to the internet for work related electronic communication.
• All other duties as assigned.

Applicants should be comfortable with Rotational Shifts (Including night).

Working days: 5 days (2 rotational week off)
