Job summary

DATAMARK, IN is seeking a Tamil Language Interpreter to render accurate translations between Tamil and English. The role requires native fluency in English and Tamil, strong listening and note-taking skills, and the ability to stay neutral during calls.

Responsibilities include maintaining the flow of conversations, providing precise renditions, and delivering professional, clear communications. Working hours include rotational nights, with 5 working days and 2 weekly offs.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent is required.
• Native fluency in English and Tamil is required.
• Strong cultural understanding and idiomatic expression in Tamil.
• Excellent listening, retention and note-taking to ensure accuracy.
• Ability to stay neutral and objective during conversations.

Responsibilities

• Render accurate concepts and meanings between Tamil and English while maintaining grammar and style.
• Provide strict renditions of messages including every detail of conversations.
• Demonstrate good customer service with clear enunciation and professional voice.
• Follow client instructions, manage call flow, and avoid interrupting the primary speaker without permission.
• Remain calm during calls and be punctual and available during shifts.
• Ensure internet access for work-related communications.
• Perform other duties as assigned for Tamil Language Interpreter.

For Tamil Language Interpreter Role–

Minimum Requirements:

1. High Schools degree or equivalent.

2. Native Fluency in English and Tamil

3. Advanced skills in the cultural dynamics (cultural implication and idiomatic expression) of Tamil.

4. Excellent listening, retention and note-taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy.

5. Ability to concentrate, stay detached from the conversation, and remain neutral and objective at all times.

6. Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication with the permission or at request of the client.

Responsibilities for Tamil Language Interpreter:

As a Successful Gujarati Language Interpreter, you need to render correct concepts and meanings between Tamil and English following complexity, clarity, tone and style from one language into another, upholding the correct rules for grammar and syntax in both languages.

Provide strict renditions of the messages including every detail of the conversation and is prepared for challenging calls at any time.

Employs good customer service and communication skills, clear enunciation, pronunciation, pleasant and professional voice as well as polite forms of expression.

Follows instructions for clients, manages the flow of the call and avoids taking over the call, as well as avoids interaction with the limited English speaker person without the client's permission.

Remains calm during calls in the event that one of the primary speakers is incoherent or upset, especially in emergency situations.

Remains punctual and available during scheduled work hours.

Ensures access to the internet for work related electronic communication.

All other duties as assigned for the role of Tamil Language Interpreter

Applicants should be comfortable with Rotational Shifts (Including night).

Working days: 5 days (2 rotational week off)

Salary upto: 5.38 LPA (40k Inhand)
