Job summary

Vertiv Energy Pvt Ltd is seeking a Diploma Engineer Trainee (2026 passout) to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair UPS systems, ensuring uninterrupted power for critical infrastructure. You will provide technical support to clients and manage project timelines.

Role involves on-site travel to customer sites, after-hours/weekends at short notice, and coordination with teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering is required.
• Experience with 3-phase UPS systems in data center environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of power distribution, ATS, PDU, SKRU, and energy management systems is expected.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-diagnostic skills are important.
• Ability to read electrical one-line schematics is required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Install & commission UPS systems, transfer switches, and PDUs.
• Maintain & repair AC/DC power systems, batteries, capacitors, and related hardware.
• Troubleshoot faults using diagnostic tools and provide remote/onsite support during failures.
• Engage with customers to assess power needs, recommend solutions, and train clients on UPS operation.
• Prepare service reports, maintain maintenance records, and read/provide single line diagrams.
• Coordinate with teams and subcontractors to deliver on time and within budget.
• Adhere to electrical safety regulations and procedures.

Role Summary: Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair UPS systems to ensure uninterrupted power for critical infrastructure. Provide technical support to clients and manage project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Install & Commission UPS systems, transfer switches, and power distribution units
• Maintain & Repair AC/DC power systems, batteries (Li-ion/NiCad/SLA), capacitors, and associated hardware
• Troubleshoot faults using diagnostic tools; provide remote/onsite corrective support during critical failures
• Customer Engagement — assess power requirements, recommend solutions, and train clients on UPS operation
• Documentation — produce service reports, maintain maintenance records, and read/provide single line diagrams
• Project Management — coordinate with teams and subcontractors to deliver on time and within budget
• Safety — adhere to all electrical safety regulations and procedures

Qualifications
