Job summary

Vertiv Co in Bengaluru is seeking a UPS System Maintenance Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair UPS systems to ensure uninterrupted power for critical infrastructure. You will support clients, manage project timelines, and document maintenance activities.

The role involves installing and commissioning UPS units, batteries, and related power equipment, with daily travel to customer sites and after-hours readiness as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in electrical/electronics engineering.
• Preferred: experience with 3-phase UPS in data centers.
• Knowledge of power distribution, ATS, PDU, SKRU, energy management systems.
• Strong fault-diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read one-line electrical schematics.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

UPS System Maintenance Engineer Role Summary

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair UPS systems to ensure uninterrupted power for critical infrastructure. Provide technical support to clients and manage project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Install & Commission UPS systems, transfer switches, and power distribution units
• Maintain & Repair AC/DC power systems, batteries (Li-ion/NiCad/SLA), capacitors, and associated hardware
• Troubleshoot faults using diagnostic tools; provide remote/onsite corrective support during critical failures
• Customer Engagement — assess power requirements, recommend solutions, and train clients on UPS operation
• Documentation — produce service reports, maintain maintenance records, and read/provide single line diagrams
• Project Management — coordinate with teams and subcontractors to deliver on time and within budget
• Safety — adhere to all electrical safety regulations and procedures

Qualifications

Required:

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering

Preferred:

• Experience with 3-phase UPS systems in data center environments
• Knowledge of power distribution, ATS, PDU, SKRU, and energy management systems
