Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience with Unity, including internships, personal projects, college projects, or published games.
• Strong understanding of C# fundamentals and OOP.
• Hands-on experience building gameplay in Unity.
• Good understanding of GameObjects & Components, Prefabs, Colliders & Rigidbody, Animator, Coroutines, Unity lifecycle, Basic physics, ScriptableObjects.
• Ability to understand and modify an existing Unity codebase.
• Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of Git/version control.
• Strong interest in mobile games and game design.

Responsibilities

• Take gameplay concepts and prototypes and turn them into complete, polished game experiences.

We are looking for a Unity Game Developer who is passionate about building mobile games and understands that making a good game is more than just making a prototype work. You will be involved in the complete game development process - from turning an initial gameplay idea into a playable prototype, iterating on the core loop, adding progression and game systems, polishing the experience, and preparing the game for release. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with designers, artists, and other developers to build fun, polished, and engaging mobile games.

What You'll Do

• Take gameplay concepts and prototypes and turn them into complete, polished game experiences.
• Implement and iterate on the core gameplay loop.
• Rapidly prototype new mechanics and ideas in Unity.

Gameplay & Systems

• Implement gameplay mechanics using Unity and C#.
• Build player controls, enemies, weapons, interactions, levels, objectives, rewards, and other gameplay systems.
• Develop reusable systems and components that can be used across multiple levels/features.
• Implement UI screens, popups, tutorials, rewards, notifications, and game feedback.
• Work with animations, particles, audio, cameras, physics, and other Unity systems.
• Debug gameplay issues and improve the stability of existing systems.

Progression & Game Economy

• Understand and help implement player progression systems.
• Work on systems such as:
• Unlock systems
• Currency/rewards
• Missions and objectives
• Difficulty progression
• Streaks and daily rewards
• Shops and item systems
• Understand the basics of game economy design - how players earn, spend, and progress through resources.
• Help balance rewards, difficulty, upgrades, and progression to create a satisfying player experience.
• Work with designers to turn economy and progression concepts into functional game systems.
• Understand how changes to rewards, costs, difficulty, and progression can affect player engagement.

Game Polish & Player Experience

• Focus on making games feel responsive, satisfying, and polished.
• Add feedback to player actions through:
• Animations
• VFX
• UI animations
• Haptics
• Pay attention to small details that improve the overall player experience.
• Help identify areas where gameplay feels slow, confusing, repetitive, or unsatisfying and suggest improvements.
